Car Insurance Day
by The Insurance Connection on February 1st, 2017

Car Insurance Day is observed each year on the first day of February. The day commemorates the first auto liability policy sold in the United States, which was in February of 1898.

Today would be a great day to give a little extra thought to your auto coverage. One way to observe would be to check your car's glove compartment to ensure that your insurance ID cards are up to date.

You may also want to make an appointment with your agent to review your auto policy and make sure that your coverage is adequate. While reviewing your coverage may not seem like a lot of fun, you might find that there are new discounts available, and if the value of your vehicle has decreased, it might be a good time to remove your collision coverage and opt for liability only. Your agent may even want to check and see if one of your agency's other carriers has a better rate for you. In any case, it will give you peace of mind to know that you have checked on your insurance and made sure that you are well-protected in the event of an accident.

If you have an auto policy with The Insurance Connection, or are interested in getting a quote, don't hesitate to check in with Gavin or Rochelle - they would be very happy to hear from you!
